Capriotti`s Sandwich Shop in New Castle

I got an Impossible Cheesesteak. I. WAS. SHOOOOOK! It tasted just like a regular cheesesteak. And also tasted better than some of my steaks in Philly. I nearly cried. 10/10. Would recommend.

My family and I have been in the New Castle area for about four years now and have been eating from this Capriottis since we have been here. We have never had any problems until now. Today we ordered two Italian subs and they were loaded with vegetables which is fine, but there was only one piece of meat on them. It was awful. I am completely dissatisfied with the order. I’m not sure if my family and I will be eating from here again.

Food is always fresh and delicious! My daughter loves the 'Bobby' so that's what we get most of the time. But everything is amazingly good, especially the salads.

They make the BEST HOME MADE CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP!! Their cheesesteak was really good! My husband is picky about his cheesesteaks and he really enjoyed his that we bought. We will definitely go back again when we are in Delaware!

Placed order over the phone. Went to pick it up and it was wrong. The girl behind the counter wanted to argue with me about it rather than fix it. I paid for my order then left. Won't be going to that location again.

They now serve a vegetarian Turkey, so I can enjoy the Bobbi again! Although it's not as stuffed as the original, I'm thrilled to have the option. I've also ordered it with the Cole Turkey and really enjoyed it. I'm reducing the stars from my original post. The last 2 times I ordered, I was disappointed. The last veggie Cole turkey was so salty we couldn't eat it,and by the time we got home to eat, they were closed and it was Saturday, so they wouldn't reopen until Monday This time the filling was so stingy it tasted more like salad dressing on a roll. Maybe it's just this franchise but with the price of their subs I don't think I'll risk another disappointment.

The sandwiches have been noticeably different the last few times I've been there. I didn't know until today they have new management. There is nothing special about the Bssin Road store that would make me stop on my way back to New Jersey.

Not all sub shops are the same their food is well made. Best to call your order in they are busy

$21 for a large sandwich? I paid $8 for a half which was a 5 inch? Pandemic or not I feel majorly ripped off.

Very very good

Gave this locations multiple chances at different times to make my sub correctly. I’m highly allergic to onions and they keep putting onions on my sandwiches. They need to retrain their staff on following directions and their manners because the one girl is very rude and always has an attitude. If someone says they are allergic it means they absolutely can not have it. Will definitely be making the distance and going to the bear location from now on even though this location is closer.

My staff loved the catered sandwiches & cookies tray. They felt it was tasty!

The best place in Delaware for a sandwich hands down. I'd put them up against the best in Philly.

This place is the original Capriotti's and its the bomb! We drive about an hour to get there (even though we have a franchise "Caps"within a 20 minute drive) and they never disappoint. They are a small shop and have a great crew working the place. If you plan on a friday or Saturday trip get in early as they may run out of rolls, yes they are that good! I first visited this place about 20/25 yrs ago while in the area doing some work and now that I live back in the area, well you know the rest of the story. 😁Keep up the great work "Caps-Crew"#kulinarymafia approved! 🍽🍽🍽

Good service & quality food

Awful service called and ordered a cheesesteak at 1145 the lady told me 25-30minutes! I showed up at 12:15 wait untill 1225 finally ask where it’s at my break about to be over and they hadn’t even put in on the grill! The sub maker John was extremely rude as well! Said the reasoning was it’s not a fast food place...lol you make subs and cheesesteaks .Never got a sandwich and was asked to leave !

I’ve been coming here for 7 years and the last 3 times that I’ve ordered here the sandwiches have been terrible. Today is the last day I’ll ever get anything from this location. I ordered to subs with extra meat, a $5 charge for each and didn’t even have a serving size of meat on each. Ever since new management took over this location has fallen down the drain. I do not recommend going to this location.

Can’t be serving up a Bobby on a stale roll. I called and informed the Basin Rd Capriotti’s that they sold us a Bobby today on a stale roll. They informed me that they do not make the rolls. Thought that was an interesting response. Very disappointed!

The “Bobbie” alone makes a trip to capriotti’s more than worth it! A Delaware original you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu but the “Bobbie” with its thanksgiving day leftovery goodness is one of the reasons to visit Delaware! Best sandwich ever!

Some of the best subs and steaks around love this place very polite people

I really like Capriotti's it wouldn't hurt for them to put just a little more meat on the sandwiches, other then that it's all good!

The place looks good, the ladies that work there are very personable. The food is always super. But the meat on the subs well less then it used to be little bit to much lettuce. At least 2 more oz. meat would be worth the 16 dollars they charge for large.

The Basin Rd, New Castle Shop is hands down the BEST of all the Capriotts and beats all other sub shops as well. These subs are packed full of freshness. Other shops I have to add extra meat from.my ref. But not these. There is just no more room for perfecting them.

Good food but if your in a hurry, go when you have time to wait.

Capriotti's Sandwich shop in HarmonyvPlaza is not up holding good service and the sandwich are horrible.... the other locations they are holding back on portions when making subs...... What is going on!!!!!! You use to be the best , So far the only one that is excellent is on Union Street, I dont mind the travel because it's worth it, customers service is awesome and the subs are excellent.......

Our sandwiches where done really quick and they tasted great.

It's a small sandwich shop with a simple menu and relatively quick service. They have really good sub style sandwiches. I recommend the "Bobbie" (stuffing, turkey, cranberry sauce) taste sweet. They have Doordash.PROs:- taste fresh- simple orders- Doordash- fast serviceCons:- get crowded during lunch.- small parking lot.

Had "THE BRIAN" it was okay.

The staff is short with you. The cubby hole you order at is jammed with people, 6 but felt packed and crammed,they either already ordered, didn't order no one's sure. Zero organization. Asked to pay when I ordered to keep down the confusion and no was my answer. In the end you're happy when you get to leave. They forgot to make one of ours so our wait doubled. Sandwich was ok but not like wow. I had their specialty Thanksgiving thing.

Capriotti's & Casapulla's Sub shops are the two best Italian Hoagie & Philly Cheesesteak places in the state.

Greeted as soon as I walked. Very friendly staff today. Sandwich made to order with my modifications. Very good!

The Bobbie is the best sub. Also try the the capastrami or an Italian if turkey isn't your thing

Hoagie was good but space is too small inside, Picked up my hoagie with limited space to move around due to an overwhelming crowd of people that could hardly fit in there.

It was my 1st time coming to this sandwich shop. The girl name Saida was very helpful in explaining the variety of sandwiches on the menu. She provided excellent customer service and knowledge about the business. I will be back again and I will tell others of how good the food and enviroment is at Capriotti.
